Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale (AdSP – Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority) has become the 40th member of the International Port Community Systems Association (IPCSA).
One of the key challenges that the port authority currently faces is the integration of the Port Community Systems of the ports of Savona and Genoa and in this process membership of the IPCSA will be of great importance, the president of the institution, Paolo Emilio Signorini, said.
“The two Port Community Systems will merge, in the framework of the Italian Logistics Platform, a peculiar aspect compared to other countries”, said Signorini.
Genoa was the first Italian seaport to be integrated into the national logistics platform, created and managed by the Italian government to link seaports and interports, and promote the further development of the entire national logistics system. “This is another reason why we decided to join IPCSA, because we and our community of port operators want to share our experience,” Signorini added.
