Turkey’s first FSRU, which entered service in 2016 and is run by Etki Liman İşletmeleri Doğalgaz İthalat Ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Etki LNG FSRU Terminal).
The first LNG floating vessel has a storage capacity of 139,000 m³ and was able to provide 14 million m³ of gas into the Turkish network daily. The new FSRU, made by Hyundai Heavy Industries, has a storage capacity of 170,000 m³ of gas, it will also compress 28 million m³ of natural gas to the system on a daily basis. This will improve the country’s energy security.
