Genoa, Italy – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Occidentale (AdSP – Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority) is part of the “E-BRIDGE. Emergency and BRD Information Development for the ports of Genoa” project which was presented by the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport (MIT) to the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2018 of the European Union.
The proposal has a total value of about €20 million ($22.7 million) and is part of a programme presented to the EU for the financing of actions in the Genoa area, which includes several initiatives that will be designed and developed in an integrated and complementary manner.
The E-BRIDGE project, which runs through the two-year period 2019/2020, aims to study and implement a series of innovative pilot actions from the technological and process point of view, to improve the efficiency of the goods in- and outflows from the ports of Genoa, in response to the new needs of the port.
Among the lines of action envisaged are the organisational and information redesign of the last railway mile system; the complete adaptation of the port gates and terminal gates; the creation of smart parking areas; the design and implementation of a pilot project to create buffer areas outside the port area.
