Labour market situation of the yachting sailor is not very good in Finland since the working season for yachting sailors is short. Because of the location of Finland the length of the summer is just few months. Most full time yachting sailors work as entrepreneurs, for others it is usually a summer job.
Labour market situation is quite good. Retirement of the old professionals in the nearby years will add the need for the new professionals. Economical situation of Finland influences to the transportation of goods and foreign trade so logistics related professions are directly linked to the economical situation which has been difficult for many years and influences negatively to the labour market situation of stevedores. Automatization will in future influence to professions in the logistics field but all the work will not disappear. Development of IT has influenced to the work of the freight forwarder. At the same time international trade has grown a lot. According to the recent report (2015) on the education and knowledge of the metropolitan area of the Finland (Pääkaupunkiseudun koulutus ja osaaminen – kohti vuotta 2030) need for freight forwarders and warehouse workers is smaller at 2030 than it is at the moment. However there will be opening vacancies because of the retirements. Clearing agent In Finland job description of the Clearing agent is the same as Freight forwarders. For this reason there is no difference in demanded skills and competences and future needs and these are described in the section 4. Freight forwarder.
Amount of shipping agents is quite small in Finland. It is estimated that the need for shipping agents is getting smaller because of the development of IT connections and IT applications

Labour market situation of stock clerks is either in balance or there is surplus or jobseekers depending on the area of Finland. It is estimated that automatization will in future influence to professions in the logistics field but all the work will not disappear. Difficult economical situation of Finland influences negatively both to the transportation of goods and trade and also to the labour market situation of storekeepers and stock clerks.
