BiLOG – “Logistics and Maritime Forum, European trends and Regional perspectives” came to life thanks to an idea developed by the Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea and the City of Piacenza following the signing of a memorandum of understanding to promote operational ties and planning coordination between Piacenza Logistics Hub and the Port of La Spezia.
The aim of the event – to be held in Piacenza on 15/16 February 2017 – is to bring to Italy an international discussion on maritime transport, in order to impart information on EU transport policy, with a focus on European projects and related funding opportunities in these areas. The event’s strong international footprint is evident from the conference’s programme, which highlights the presence of leading representatives of the European Commission, and of key international players in the transport and logistics sector. Representatives from the public-sector, as well as from industry, will discuss a range of topics: Motorways of the Sea and European Corridors; new green technologies concerning shipping; sustainable logistics; the role of logistics platforms; railway innovations; inland waterways; digitization of logistics.
