The “Business to Business” meetings between economic operators of logistics in the Mediterranean – coming from Lebanon, France, Italy and Spain – kicked off on December 1st from Marseille. The event is organized as part of the project activities of OPTIMED – funded by the European cross-border cooperation ENPI CBC Med Programme.
The initiative falls within the so-called “OPTIMED Business Week”, organized by ASCAME (Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce), the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and by the Port Authority of Northern Sardinia. It will continue on the 3rd in Cagliari and will end on the 4th in Porto Torres. Porto Torres is one of the two port hubs on which the network system proposed by the OPTIMED project is based.
Meetings’ goal is to create a network of relations between public and private operators active in the field of transport and logistics in the Mediterranean, increasing the trade links between the north western and south eastern basin.
The “Business to Business” meetings will be the occasion for the Lebanese, French and Italian companies to attend the workshop of presentation of the virtual logistics platform developed through the project. During the meetings’ working days the Lebanese delegation will visit the port of Marseille and the port of Porto Torres.
